Kirk Oetken has been the President and CEO of Summit HR & Payroll since 2007. Summit has grown to a western regional company and is currently expanding to the east coast. Summit provides resources to midsized companies as well as affiliates that are able to resell Summit’s services on the local level. Summit gained access to a national brand that was interested in merging. Thanks to the Crankset model, the processes, the tools, and culture model have been in place to attract this merger. Through the evaluation, it was apparent that the strategic planning, the freedom mapping, and the company culture was the differentiator in this process. This merger will help Summit with partnerships that are nationwide with a local presence. The Crankset tools created the opportunity for Summit to create a future with new partnerships that were previously inaccessible.
